I developed this 2012 planner concept in line with Starbucks’ brand values to encourage “moments of connection.” While brainstorming ideas, our team sought to develop ideas that used the traditional print medium to truly promoted “interaction” among customers. From month to month, sections of the planner included thoughtful questions and blank lines for users to jot notes, sticky note messages, a bookmark, periodic whimsical reminders to connect with strangers and friends, a flipbook animation of an emptying espresso cup, illustrations and other fun and surprising bits. The Starbucks 2012 gift planner design was distributed to Starbucks markets throughout Southeast Asia.
