I’m happy to announce some exciting new projects that have launched in the

past few months.

In my Web Design gallery, check out Healthleap and DocVerify, two new

web-based services developed to make your life easier. Healthleap is a doctor

search and booking engine, now in beta, that A Small Design Shop and I designed

and consulted on. If you’re a physician in a major U.S. city, you can request an

invitation into their network here. And DocVerify provides a secure and easy

interface for people to manage and sign contracts online. I worked with Glass

Canopy to develop their friendly new look. Be sure to watch the video tour!

I also designed some new printed pieces for The Symphony Collection’s

expanding line of faux leathers and vinyls. Check them out in the Print Gallery!

I’m so excited to report that the industrious little felt accessories over in
my Etsy shop have raised $900 for charity so far this year! Just over
$500 went to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find
a cure, and just under $400 will be going to help the elderly
in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia who have been affected by HIV/AIDS.

What’s next? Well, from October through December, I’ll be donating my Etsy
sales proceeds to Aid to Artisans, a wonderful organization that supports
handmade traditions by connecting artisans in the developing world to
markets in the developed world. Go take a look!

I’ve updated my portfolio with some recent design projects I’d like to share
with you. Check out the logos I designed for A Small Design Shop and a
newly-patented textile technology in the Logo Design section, a website for a data
storage company in my Web Design gallery, and some fun new illustrations in
the Illustrations category!

Summer is fast approaching and I’m happy to report that I’m still holding true
to my New Year’s Resolution! From this month through September my Etsy shop
proceeds will be going to the Missions to the World Medical Missions, earmarked
to help HIV/AIDS affected elderly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. You can read more
about the cause on my blog.

I’m excited to share some recent design projects with you. Check out the
websites I designed for a SF-based marketing consultant, a law office and
a textile company in my Web Design gallery. And there’s new work in the
Print Design and Logo Design sections as well!

Happy New Year!

I have a New Year’s resolution to announce! In a bid to reduce waste, spend
less AND be tidier, I’m not buying ANY new crafting supplies until I use up
that big mounting stash o’ scraps in my studio. Starting this month, I’ll be
filling my Etsy shop with creations made of the various unused odds-n-ends
in my crafting closet. Lots of stuff will be one-of-a-kind, so if you like what
you see, snatch it up quick!

There’s another part to this resolution, though! During 2009, I’m giving all the
proceeds from my Etsy shop sales to charity! For January and February, I’ll be
donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the largest charitable
group funding the search to cure Type 1 diabetes.

Happy Autumn, everybody!

My illustration, “Symbiosis,” got shortlisted in Designboom’s 2008 Green Earth
competition!

And, there’s a new family member in the menagerie… If you need a new pencil
case, Alejandro el Legarto is your new best friend!

Two new websites, for a solar power company and a digital asset management
software firm — both designed in partnership with Glass Canopy — were
